The Farm

  • Feeling: fascinated
  • Background Noise: tv

I have really been enjoying the google maps satellite feature.  This evening I found my parents' farm in which I was raised.  I had to do 3-4 screen captures to get the whole 115 or so acres and splice them together.  Here it is:

Here it is with notes so you know what you are looking at:

It was a splendid place to spend my childhood.  One day I will post some pictures of it (real pictures).  Lots of hard work, but lessons learned and lots of fun!

I did very little today.  I got to sleep in, which was nice!  Towards the evening I decided to use up some ripe bananas.  I made 48 banana muffins!  I gave a dozen to the neighbors and will send a couple dozen to Rich's work tomorrow.  It always makes the house smell so nice when I bake muffins.

Rich took Klara to her preschool this morning.  She was an absolute bear!  She screamed and threw one heck of a fit!  He stayed around for ten minutes and even took her outside for a "meeting" to try and straighten her around.  When he went to leave, the teacher had to pick her up and hold her.  She kicked those gangly, wild legs like a nut!  Rich was afraid she would hurt the teacher!  How embarrassing.  I know she did that for Rich's benefit, which is a typical reaction.  Ugh!  They said she did fine after about ten more minutes.  Donna says she loves her fire.  I told Donna to take her to preschool for me, lol!  What a kid!

Will & Jared are doing well.  Will is all about the word, "No" and trying to escape out the door as often as possible.  And can that child run!  Wowee!  Jared is doing great in school and getting all A's.  He is such a smart guy!

Well I am off to bed.  Hope you all have a great weekend!
