Time to get back on the computer and visit my friends.
for me.
Here's wishing for a wonderful weekend for you and yours too!
Why do pets decide to start using their owners' beds for bathrooms? I just talked to a friend of mine and her cat has decided that her bed is it's dumping grounds! Oh my gosh! This cat has never done this before, so it is quite puzzling. I once had a three-legged dog who started peeing in my bed all of the sudden. Now, this dog was not the smartest dog and she had always been a troublemaker from the beginning. However, the peeing in the bed thing just started pretty out of the blue. And I am not talking about her doing it while we weren't home...she would jump up and pee in my bed while I would be in the bathroom in the middle of the night; just a matter of a minute or two!
Why do pets do this???? I worked in a veterinarian hospital for a few years and I just really couldn't tell you why they decide to do things like this. I told my friend to, perhaps, get two litter boxes (since she has multiple cats) and try that. Since this is a new problem, it is a mystery as to what prompted the behavior. One thing about it though, you can't continue to have an animal taking a big old poop in your bed! Yuck!
Well, I have been all about saving money over the past month. Today I switched my auto and home insurance over to AIG and we really saved quite a bit of money. I was extremely pleased! Also, a few weeks ago, we began using a telephone service that utilizes your cable broadband internet services. They can transfer your existing number over or assign you a new number. It includes unlimited long distance, call forwarding, call waiting, caller i.d., all the bells and whistles for only $19.95/month! I have been using it for a few weeks and really like it. I seldom have any trouble with it. Very occasionally I will hear a slight echo. I usually just can hang up and recall and it goes away. This happens maybe once every few days or so. And I am on the phone with my friends quite a bit. We are going to get a special telephone tomorrow that works even better with the service and I'm sure that will eliminate that little glitch. Another oddity is that you have to dial 1 plus the area code when dialing...even locally. However, for $19.95 a month, I can dial four extra numbers!
If anyone would like information about the telephone service, let me know and I will request information sent to you. Just leave your email addy in the comments section. If you are paying good money for an cable internet connection, you might as well!
Jared lost his first front tooth (on the top) yesterday! He looks like a little hockey player now! As soon as I locate my memory stick for my digital camera (thanks, Jared!) I will take a picture of him and post it. It is so funny to see him w/out a front tooth! Something else strange about all of this is that he started bawling before bed last night. He didn't want the tooth fairy to come and take his front tooth! He cried and cried and so finally I told him I would put it in my room and email the tooth fairy and tell her not to pick it up. I guess we will arrange for a T.F. pick up when he decides he is ready to part with it? I don't know? How does that work? Like maybe calling UPS or FedEx? hahahaha...
I need to head off to bed now. Toorrow morning comes early around here on a school day! I hope everyone has a great day!
From experience I have learned that when cats poop on their owner's bed, they are rebelling over something. Something has been done different which is causing her cat to do that.
Isiah did the same thing with his first tooth. He let the fairy come for it after he saw that another tooth was growing in it's place. I think he thought that he wasn't going to have any teeth to eat or something. Once he realized he was replacing teeth, he had no problem letting others go. Now, he takes them to school when he loses them because the nurse lets him pick a big kid treasure in exchange for a baby tooth.
The tooth fairy has been so gracious as to leave the teeth for me once she takes them from under the pillow. I love my special treasures. There is no way I could bare to let the school nurse have them for stickers and rulers! LOL
