Time to get back on the computer and visit my friends.
for me.
Here's wishing for a wonderful weekend for you and yours too!

Today was our normal run-around-like-chickens-with-our-heads-cut-off day! I dropped Jared off at school and took Klara to preschool. Will and I then ventured over the hill (where we have hardly ever been) and did some grocery shopping in this awesome little grocery store! It is a little Mom and Pop grocery store and I have been meaning to go in there, but often forget. Today I just marched right in!
Asbury's is the name of it and when I walked in, there was Mom and Pop standing right there! Little old gray haired couple making a go of it. The lady had her hair up in a bun and the little old man was getting hen-pecked about something or the other. It was charming.
This is a little country store and their specialty seems to be items that large families need (or those who live wayyyy out in the boondocks). I picked up a 25 pound bag of Hudson Cream self-rising flour for just a little over $6! I also got a TEN POUND box of bacon for $9.90! What a deal! Better deal than Walmart or even Save-A-Lot. They also had locally grown golden delicious apples, tomatoes, and eggs. I will be doing some of my shopping there from now on, especially the sale items that they have in larger quanitities that I can stick in the freezer.
We then went to our normal Friday morning breakfast and quite enjoyed that. The waitress already knows what we normally order and the regulars always talk to Will. Today, a game warden was in there eating. He looked a bit wet as it was raining out.
From there on out it was the normal Dollar Tree, Walmart run (I know I know, Rob! But you have to give me credit...I went to ASBURYS for most of my items LOL). The travelling photographer was there and so I decided to get Will's picture made. He was totally uncooperative, so it turned out that mommy and Will got their picture made. It ought to be interesting. Go and pick up Klara, stop by the Save A Lot & then dropped Klara off at speech therapy. She is doing really good with her "K" sounds and they worked on whole words today. She is good at saying words with two "k" sounds in them (like cookie or cake) but not so good with the singular "k" sounds (like cow).
Jared got a 100% on his spelling test, so I am very proud of him! Yay for Jared!
My little money making guy has a little job. The neighbors have put him in charge of feeding their cat while they are gone. He came back running over here as fast as he can! He said he heard a coyote in the woods and it was going to eat him, lol. I told him to take the neighborhood Jack Russel/Chihuahua mix dog with him and the coyote wouldn't come. They are scared of dogs like that! hahaha...
Anyway, that is about it for now. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!
In our small town you won't find any of those "mom & pop" stores. Wal-Mart pretty took over our town, however, they have competition now, a huge target opened up and just right across the subdivision that I live at.
